Good news, bad news.

EDIT AGAIN: It’s back. God dammit.

EDIT: I fixed the problem. Turns out it was a faulty CSS.

Good news is, I’ve restarted the Dark Interloper moveset. I was planning to just edit the old one, but it would probably be more work than starting from scratch. Also, because of some new knowledge I have recently obtained, I can remove his shield without a size mod code, so it makes it much simpler. The new one will still use the sword a bit, though. Combine this with the new understanding of how to speed up and slow down animations and you get a huge improvement on the original moveset.

I feel that I should still give something here. But all I have right now is a CSP, and that’s pretty useless without the moveset. So here’s a random picture of an incomplete stage texture. See if you can guess what it is.

Not like it’s hard, but whatever.

    Peach’s castle under seige?

    And the same thing’s happened to me ever since I started using Dant’s stage replacing code, it freezes at the end of a match T^T

    lol my guess is you guys are doing it wrong.

    Works for me. And I have like 40 fucking lines of code, easily.

    @RAWRzilla

    “Doing it wrong”? Is there even a way to do it wrong?

    Come to think of it, what could we even be doing wrong? You dump the files in the SD card and away you go. Not that hard.

    … Needless to say, I’m a bit edgy right now.

    @Razanak7
    He’s talking about Dantarion’s code. It lets you hold different buttons to load different stages that all replace the same stage.

    I kinda agree with Razanak.. I don’t get how you can use a code improperly.

  7. 7 pinutk 11/12/2009 at 9:24 PM

    this may be a reeaaaallly dumb suggestion due to the fact that I have no idea how hacking works, but have you tried deleting your brawl save file?

  10. 10 Shadow 11/12/2009 at 11:15 PM

    ^ Yep, like deleting your Brawl save file solved ALL your problems.

    /Sarcasm

    No, don’t delete your savefile, seriously. It’s not going to change anything.

    … my Results Screen just broke, too…
    Does anybody know how to fix this?

  12. 12 STUFF2o 11/13/2009 at 12:08 AM

    Btw, this was when I inserted a FitPikachuMotionEtc.pac for Pichu. I also deleted a FitMarioMotionEtc.pac before putting it back in my Wii, which was on the CSS at the time.

    My Bootmii fails. If I try to go directly to the Homebrew Channel the screen goes blue (standard nothing happens for my TV) and I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds before it turns off. Help anyone?

  19. 19 razanak7 11/13/2009 at 3:35 PM

    I think I might know what’s wrong. I had just put in a CSS without really knowing how, and it doesn’t work when you go to the character screen. I’ll try removing it and see what happens.

  20. 20 razanak7 11/13/2009 at 3:53 PM

    Yep, that was the problem. The character select screen I put it wasn’t working right, and that’s what did it. Everything works fine now.

    … I don’t know about the game over screen yet, but the results screen works.

  21. 21 Unai 11/13/2009 at 4:40 PM

    Razanak, I don’t understand how could your game crash with the SD off. I’m confused .__.

  22. 22 darkredscorpio 11/13/2009 at 5:49 PM

    @thanyou,pinutk,ice kirby.

    I agree with this because it does look like peach’s castle.

  23. 23 STUFF2o 11/13/2009 at 6:30 PM

    Wait, so what exactly happened with your Results Stage? Was it like mine where the results screen never showed up? Or did you just never get OUT of the Results screen?

  24. 24 razanak7 11/13/2009 at 8:30 PM

    @STUFF2o

    It never showed up. If you’re using a custom CSS, try removing it. That’s what worked for me.

  25. 25 razanak7 11/15/2009 at 10:14 AM

    Aaaaaaaand the problem’s back now.

  26. 26 TheGreenAlloy 11/15/2009 at 10:54 AM

    @razanak7
    Did you change anything on your SD card?

  27. 27 razanak7 11/15/2009 at 11:28 AM

    Nothing, other than the moveset I’m working on.

  28. 28 TheGreenAlloy 11/15/2009 at 11:58 AM

    @razanak7
    I doubt it’s the moveset, maybe it wasn’t the CSS after all. 0.o
