Let’s-a-go!

So, I saw Shark’s video, and ShadowSquid brought to my attention that there hasn’t been an update recently, so I figured I’d take the liberty of making a post for the Super Mario 64 on Brawl mod BigSharkZ made.

(PS. Shark, if you see this, feel free to write some comments or change the title and stuffz. :3)

BigSharkZ edit: Downloads added. Textures are in the Characters folder, stage in Others folder. BRSTMs are in the songs folder.

    Haha, when I saw the video’s preview image at first I thought that it was the real super mario 64 XDDD

    That means that it’s very well done.

    Lol, I was about to post it right now, but thanks for doing it for me. I will edit the post with the download in a few minutes.

    Thanks for the comments, too.

    And people wondering about the CSS, I edited the animations of the cursor, and that happened. Don’t ask me why.

    These custom stage edits you make, do they affect all custom stages in that theme or just those in particular? As in, do all custom stages with the same theme as Phendrana drifts have sheegoths? And do all stages in this theme have this texture and bombs? Also, the Pokefloats.

    Thank you for using my Shadow pack.

  11. 11 BigSharkZ 01/03/2010 at 5:06 PM

    @STUFF2o

    Yes, sadly, BUT, you could just use Dantarion’s code to load different packages.

    @Powermarshall

    No problem.

    Wait so, we can finally allow certain CUSTOM stages load certain textures? Then how do we find the Custom stage Id then?

    P.S. A while ago when I made the Radical Highway hack, I asked Shark if this was possible and he said no. But now we can with Dantarion’s code so suck it!…well at least I assume that…

  13. 13 BigSharkZ 01/03/2010 at 6:06 PM

    @SlainUnderFire77

    Yeah, you can. Rename your files to like, STGEDIT_2_A.PAC, STGEDIT_2_B.PAC, and load them with your custom code.

  14. 14 SlainUnderFire77 01/03/2010 at 6:07 PM

    Hm, I’m guessing we can only make certain themes load different textures since custom stages don’t have ID’s. (I think). So basically, we will have to remember a button combination for each texture we want on a certain theme on a custom stage like in Dantarion’s code. Then we have to import that combination in hex. Or we could just let each .pac load randomly…am I right?

    Epic.

  16. 16 SlainUnderFire77 01/03/2010 at 6:12 PM

    Ok, I see. It’s just like using it for any other normal brawl stage. Excellent. Now we can have more than 3 custom themes. Thanks Shark.

    For me, trying to spin the N64 joystck is the wort thing about SM 64. Anyone else think so?

  21. 21 Zak 01/04/2010 at 8:50 AM

    Same thing happened to my CSS when I tried adding my name for one of the Characters and I changed it back

  22. 22 fireking220 01/04/2010 at 1:33 PM

    @Aaron

    not rlly, it came very natural to me. Idk wat ur talking about

  23. 23 Mario & Sonic Guy 01/04/2010 at 7:39 PM

    @Aaron

    Rotating the Control Stick wasn’t exactly a huge problem in Super Mario 64, seeing that you only had to do that with the Bowser fights. Compare that to Mario Party, where hand blisters are quite likely to happen, due to the large number of mini-games that involve Control Stick rotation.

    can someone at least put the name of the code? D:

  27. 27 haisk8 01/07/2010 at 9:12 PM

    You should also make the second Bowser boss stage. The one that flips and has lava. Sort of like Brinstar Depths but it’s flat.

    I can’t find that Shadow pack ANYWHERE, can someone please link me? Thanks 😀
