This isn’t really worth a post, but it made me laugh, so here you go.

Chozo Statue joins the Brawl!

-This replaces one Samus costume, and has all of her moves.

-NO FREEZING. Graphical erroneous and completely unplayable, but…

-A few streaks of graphical error fill the screen while it stands still, and it can’t run for more than a few feet. This means you have to jump to get around.

-As you can tell, the model is split into two pieces. The arms and one foot (???) do all the fighting, while the actual statue hides in the foreground or background (depending on which way you’re facing.

-The actual statue uses most of the graphical effects, and missles, shots, and grapples fire from it. The grapples don’t seem to work, though…

-Standing in between the two pieces will slowly push your character away.

-You cannot use most attacks while on the ground. Any specials or the final smash just fire into the ground, so hop a round like a glitchy rabbit!

-The final smash looks hilarious. The arms begin to charge the beam, the Chozo Statue randomly spawns an arm cannon for it’s foot (lol) and out of no where, the charge disappears and the statue fires.

-You can transform to and from ZSS without trouble.

-Tossing the it will create a really trippy, screen filling mess of graphics which does not freeze the game, but won’t go away unless you quit the match.

Yes, I realize that this is completely broken and glitchy. I did it for teh lulz.

For those not of sane mind:

Replace your friend favorite Samus costume and watch them flip out. XD

I don’t know how you managed to get this to work, But It think It would be awesome If you could make animations for It so It works like a normal fighter.

I was kind of hoping it would just be distorted with some floaty parts, but this was unexpected. And I don’t know how to make animations. But if I did, it would still probably be in two parts.

I did it by swapping Samus’s and the Chozo Statue model from Brinstar, and then importing the one texture it uses. The statue has 49 bones (I think) enough to place several characters (like Samus).

Do you think It could replace Falco? I find him more fitting for the Chozo statue.

I don’t think so. He has 72 bones, too many for replacement. This match works because the statue has 49 bones and Samus has 48. Read this:

So If the character you want to replace has more bones than the thing you want to replace It with, It won’t work?

Mostly. If you look at the test log, Cubone can replace a great deal of characters with more bones than it. But it’s a general rule to follow that you need to have more bones. That’s why the Alloy’s are constantly being replaced, because they have 30-40 bones each. This makes them easy to replace.

yes but its not always true. The characters each have a minimum bone count (I like to call it that) Green Alloy has 34 bones but a model that has 30 bones will still work. If the model u want to replace it with has a higher bone count than the actual character then it will almost always work as well. The only things know to cause freezes also are attacks that spawn props like olimars pikmin.

I demand a playable moveset for this

Perhaps just make the floating parts do punches and stuff while the statue is in the background.

Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
