The villain of time

Yeah, you read right. I indeed made an Ocarina of Time/Melee Ganondorf vertex hack.

The original texture to this was made by Marvin. I did do some minor changes to the head texture, to bring it closer to the original.
Model changes include:
-He is less bulky.
-The rags in front of his chest are now longer.
-His nose is longer. A lot longer.
-His hair is longer.
-Though the texture already had most of the headgear made transparent, I completly moved it inside his head, so that it won’t even show up when he uses a Metal Box.

…yeah. This isn’t exactly that much, but I am still happy with the result. The texture was already very good to begin with, so this thing should be pretty convincing.

one question does it slow down the game and then speed up again? Cause thats what happens sometimes when u move verts inside one another

Well, it didn’t slow down my game, and I use PAL Brawl. So, it should work just fine for you.

    I fucking love you.

    Melee Ganondorf.

    Do Ocarina Ganondorf instead.

Also, there is a distinct lack of sideburns here.

Yeah, that’s more OoT Ganon. Melee/GCN-teaser-trailer Ganon looks a lot different, specifically the armor and hair aspects. And no squares and whatnot.

Still, not a bad start. I lol’d at the long nose.

What? This is more Melee Ganondorf than OoT.

-has brown skin instead of green
-has off-white cape instead of red
    -has gloves

And both of them are supposed to have sideburns.

I would like to see you do it better. And I honestly don’t really care whether he is more OoT Ganondorf or Melee Ganondorf, he can just be something in between.
And any complainment about the texture go to Marvin, and not to me.

    Yay! ^_^

What the fuck is the difference between OoT Ganondorf and Melee Ganondorf? Ganondorf’s appearance in Melee is the same as his appearance in OoT! Just like how his appearance in Brawl is the same as his appearance in TP. Anyway, There’s more you could do to make him look the way he did in those games:

I think he has a cape in Melee, which he doesn’t have on that artwork.

He had a cape in OoT too. At least, During the fight with him.

    There’s quite a few differences.

-OoT Ganondorf’s nose is longer and more pointed
-OoT Ganondorf has an odd skin that varies between green-brown to flat out green
-OoT Ganondorf has various spikes all over his armor that Melee Ganondorf does not
-OoT Ganondorf’s arm cloth things are loose, for lack of a better word, at the end. Melee’s are not
-OoT Ganondorf has a very short cape
-OoT Ganondorf has yellow eyes as opposed to Melee’s brown
-OoT Ganondorf does not wear gloves
-not appearance related, but Melee’s voice is much higher

    post seven years…

-OoT Ganondorf has a long red cape that goes over his shoulders
    -OoT Ganondorf has a mullet

And in TP his armor is very grey and his cape a dark red, as opposed to Brawl’s grey-blue armor and navy blue and whatever color the inside is cape

Also he’s much taller in both Zeldas than in the Smashes.

I can’t even tell the difference between regular Ganon.

With the exception of the cape, All that stuff is very minor and doesn’t really matter.

  15. 15 Mochtroid127 03/28/2010 at 9:24 PM

The only major difference is his cape and he is the king of evil, so he can wear whatever the fuck he wants! 😀 Now all we need is a PSA to bring back the old and truely awesome Ganondorf.

    OMG, long nosed Ganon! XD
    Good job! Downloading right now!

…PAVGN, In regards to your MeleeOoTSameThing bit, once you actually texture hack MELEE Ganondorf into OCARINA OF TIME Ganondorf… you’ll see just how many differences (TEXTURE-wise) there are between the two. XD
I thought the same thing until I swapped Ganon’s costume… Redder hair (longer hair at that), different skin tone, different style of “clothing”, different cape altogether (red with gold, if I’m correct), even differently-styled armor.

Melee gannon is the one from that GC graphics test fight.

  19. 19 Rialdospaldacht 05/02/2010 at 9:31 PM

Also, since the TP Ganondorf reminded me of this, I’m going to continue to be a horrible person and mention that you forgot to make his ears round.
