Custom Damage Percentage Font

I do have something to provide to the team :p…
A Custom Damage Percentage Font, it goes in X:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\info2

Make sure to rename it “info.pac” for the file patch code..if you are having issues getting this to work then you are doing something incorrectly because I have tested this after overwriting the original file in the ISO.

Btw…credits to moosehunter for taking loads of pictures. 😀

These pictures are tiny. Is this some sort of cruel joke? I want to see the bloody font! XD

This changes the way it looks not how much damage you deal right?

I have a pre-made info.pac (for custom song titles). Where do I extract the font from in BrawlBox?

I tried this once, but it didn’t work. Must have had the wrong directory or something.

    But anyway, that looks cool.

    Cool stuff there.

I think that it needs some kind of outline, it’s a little hard to see.

Also, it’s a shame that the Wii can’t output at these resolutions

This is awesome. I’ll download it now and try it out later.

That seems like it would be really hard to see during a game.

  12. 12 WEDGE 05/29/2010 at 3:22 PM

    It froze for me. 😐

And another thing. How did you get these pictures? They look like they were taken from a video, but they are also such high quality. And I was looking for a high quality program to record with.

there is a program for that. google brawl snapshot converter.

Obviously these aren’t snapshots that were taken when the game was paused because the damage percentage doesn’t appear when the game is paused. Anyway, This looks awesome but kind of hard to see.

Hey you know why is it that “we” made a mistake if we cant get it to work? I mean did you even test out the info.pac with the file patch replacement code? If you didnt then we are not doing anything wrong its you. Everytime i put it in there my game doesnt even load to the opening video. And if you say that the picture files or whatever that makes the font original files are too big and causes this problem, then thats bull shit cause you made this thing not me. Sorry if i might sound mean but i dont like it that your blaming us for it not working cause i even renamed it to info.pac and still didnt work. So im asking politely for you to fix this problem, hope any of these words dont offend you in any way.

Not that bad of a font texture but I still prefer the digital style one I made. If only there was a way of changing the colour to green…

@ Devin: Just extract MiscData[30] from Dchen’s info.pac and export it into your own MiscData[30] in your info.pac.

@ KAITOFORTE: Actually, you guys DID make the mistake. The File Replacement code freezes the game when some files change size. Just find some of the text in your info.pac that you don’t need and delete it or shorten it. Download my MiscData[160] and replace yours with it and that should do the trick.

I was running the game using Dolphin. The Wii doesn’t output at 1920×1080.

    Ah alright. Thanks.

  20. 20 KAITOFORTE 05/31/2010 at 2:22 AM

thanks alot for the file does this mean i can replace the in battle names with whatever size with this file cause that would be great.

  21. 21 Dchen 05/31/2010 at 9:29 AM

There is an easy way to change the font to any color…instead of making the damage gradually increase to red…you can make it gradually increase to any color. It’s not too difficult. I’ll probably release this again in some other colors as well as do other fonts such as a digital one.
