Actually bigsharkz is still working on him I’d say give this to the zero board on smash boards. Hcbh’s is working on him though so thanks for your contrabution it may come handy for sound effects.
Actually, sound effects can be hacked. It’s just hard and has a bunch of restrictions or something… You also need to use Riivolution or modify the game’s files and play through USB.
This is irrelevant but I’m confused about a few things. Are people actually going to use these texture mods, model imports, etc.., enough in brawl to make it worth any of the creators’ time? To me it seems like a new toy would seem to a kid. After a while it gets thrown away and replaced for the new. Essentially am I correct? I certainly don’t play brawl every minute of the day or at least enough to use these mods. Maybe for a couple minutes at the most. I would assume that most people show these off to their friends and then they’re done and move on. I’m not complaining and I’m not trying to criticize people who spend glorious amounts of time on these works. I’m just simply asking if anyone else wonders if it’s actually worth it?
@ Wo05H:
I enjoy ESH’s hacks, but I kinda agree. I usually don’t use too many of other people’s hacks unless I need them as a reference or something, and if I do, they usually vanish quickly from my Wii. Zero, however, seems like someone I’d put over anyone, any day (preferably Snake, for the purpose of making all the MGS stuff into MMX stuff. :3), so I can’t see this one disappearing off my SD card when it’s finished in it’s entirety. :3
@ Slashy: I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile, you don’t mind if I use this for a personal, non-SSBB related, project, do you? :3
It’s not like it’s my content anyway, it belongs to CAPCOM.
I’m not sure if I should look into other Mega Man X games for PC to see if there are sound files (I do know that X4 for PC doesn’t have SFX in an easy format to extract). Probably going to see if X7 or X6 has anything worthwhile.
@Wo05H
this community was texturing so long and it just has grown more advanced now, it is harder to make complete new characters but we have the opportunity to put our favorite characters in the game
@ hotdogturtle
you are joking right? i hope you are cuz if ur not then you must be well, special :) cuz this means that rather then useing the origional character voices he will have the real zero voices…..
No, I’m not joking. Every time a new “character project” starts, people are always so quick to make things suchs as textures, CSPs, sound effects, and other irrelevant stuff. But you know what they always save for last? The actual character hack. People start these projects not realizing how difficult and time consuming it is to make new PSA moves for EVERY SINGLE MOVE and new animations for EVERY SINGLE ANIMATION. It takes months, and practically all of the projects gets scrapped before completion because the creators have the face the reality of what they’ve gotten themselves into.
That’s why I believe that all of these things are entirely useless until the character itself is completed, because there’s a very likely chance that you’ll never be using any of it.
@hotdogturtle
In some ways,you are right people are saving the important stuff for later.But,in this case they finished the model (but not the animations)(also another but)BSZ lost the model so people don’t really want to go through it again,you know.
The model is the easy part; that’s what inspires a lot of the projects to begin with. I’m saying that without a moveset or any animations, it doesn’t make any difference whether or not you have sound effects.
@Wo05H
for the most part the people who make the stuff actually find it fun to do it, so it’s not a big deal if they spend hours on it and only a few people constantly use it (it’s annoying, but still) If there doing it and there not enjoing it something is wrong, it’s kind of just a hobby, no one (as far as I know) gets paied for it.
We, Elite Smash Hackers members, as the authors of this blog, take absolutely no credit in anything we modify and/or create. Therefore, everything we make, even if it may come from another game that isn't published or made by Nintendo, is based from and belongs to both Nintendo and Hal Laboratory. We do not support the usage of pirating games for this use and trust that our fans have the game beforehand.
First post in Forever Slashy.
Thats actually kinda cool except that we cant hack in new sound effects yet.
wow this is great.this will definiatley speed things up. thx for the help
That is not helpful in the slightest bit.
hardcorebrawlhacks is now handling the zero project. Give this to them.

The Zero project isn’t being handled by anybody specific. It’s an open community project now. Also, yes, sound effects can be replaced.
