Hitmonlee (Pokemon RBY)


The kicking fiend, Hitmonlee joins the Brawl! He’s over Sheik if nobody could tell. Just click the large image to download.

This is the first hack that only took me a day to make since the days I was only texture hacking. Even so, I’m really happy with how this turned out. He has some creases in his head that are kind of noticeable in extreme lighting because of how Sheik’s scarf is shaded. Credit goes to Ryan Robillard for the fan art that I’m using for the Battle Portrait and CSP, which are included.

    I just make them by using parts of other characters’ textures. His body is pretty much Ganondorf’s skin texture and his arms/legs are Bowser’s chest :).

    I knew I was going to get Hitmonchan Zelda request if I made this :P. I don’t really think Zelda fits Hitmonchan too well unfortunately. I’m trying to make Gengar over Wario right now though.

    This looks very impressive, can’t believe you made it so fast. As for Hitmonchan, you could simply vertex hack another character with a similar body to Zelda and port it to her. I myself don’t mind because I use Sheik and Zelda as separate characters. Hitmonchan could be made on Captain Falcon, maybe. Well, since you’re open to requests, how about Crobat on Metaknight? I was going to do it, but I don’t have much time recently, and I’m still waiting for someone to fix one of my hacks, altough it’s been a while..

    Also, if you didn’t know, you can make your textures of a higher resolution. For example, I made a texture on Metaknight and made them twice as big so they the face isn’t blurry and of a bad quality. This could help if you want to make Crobat. Another idea I had in mind was to make Prince Komali on Toon Link. I wanted it to go with my Fado and Tetra, but I cannot get Fado to work, so feel free to do it if you want to. I also had another idea recently, but it’s a bit complex. If you have ever played the Mega Man Zero series, then you should know who Omega is. If not, I had wanted to make his 2nd form

    on Samus. I think it’s very possible, but it would be tedious. I’m not really asking you to do them, as I had planned on making them, but I’m just throwing out the ideas if anyone else want to make them.

    I was actually planning on making Golbat over Metaknight soon. Any way to make the wings always visible? As for Alakazam, I think he might work well over Lucario.

    I recall seeing an Alakazam texture for Lucario on Stack Smash. I think Androu made it. But yeah, a vertex hack would be awesome. As for the wings, you can use one of Dingoberriz’s edited models, but be sure to credit him. You can get Metaknight always showing his wings here:

    Alright, thanks for that BSZ. I always make sure to credit everything I use so you don’t have to worry (even the fan art I’m using for Hitmonlee’s CSP).

    Okay, Gengar is looking excellent but he has a few glaring issues that I don’t know how to fix. This first issue is that he slowly transforms back into regular Wario when he stores up his gas. I can deal with this part because it actually looks pretty amusing and kind of serves a purpose.

    The main issue I’m having is that even if I vertex him perfectly, Wario has a weird shading that will make the outlines of his overalls really obvious. I remember Calamitas had a very similar problem with Wolf’s boots for his Amaterasu so I doubt it’s really fixable at the moment. I think he looks pretty awesome besides that problem so I will probably release him anyways if there isn’t a fix to it.

    If anybody has any idea how to fix either of these problems, I would really appreciate their help.
