An update to a classic texture hack

This is a revamp of a hack that was posted here a long time ago.

For those of you who don’t know, Or don’t remember, This is Bonzai’s Smash Ball Kirby. Obviously It uses MewTwo2000’s emerald ball Kirby model now, So the hack is now true to the “Ball” part of It’s name. I also fixed the swirly problem that emerald Kirby hacks commonly have. This is a minor revamp at best, But I still thought It would be worth posting.

    Wow that’s awesome. I’m not sure how you got Kirby to be textured like that, does that have to do with the Emerald Ball Kirby that Mewtwo2000 made you were talking about? That could really help my Goomba texture (and maybe vertex later) to be able to texture the lighter part underneath him.

    @aafyre

    Emerald textures work like this:

    Edge is an image that the character is filled with.

    Edge2 controls how that image is reflected.

    Kirby has an Edge3 that causes edge to be swirly. You can fix this problem by editing It to look the way It does is this hack.

    Emerald characters are shiny looking and the image used for edge always faces the camera, So I wouldn’t recommend using an emerald Kirby to revamp your Goomba.

    Also, Emerald characters can’t be vertex hacked. At least not with mariokart64n’s method.

    What’s Mewtwo2000’s model? Couldn’t you have just removed the arms and legs from the old smash ball texture?

    @hotdogturtle

    Well If you read my response to aafyre, You would know that emerald characters can’t be vertex hacked. So MewTwo2000 removed the arms and legs by making them invisible. I could have done that myself, But I didn’t. So I have to credit MewTwo2000 for doing It.
